September 20 and 21 Old Town Artists is hosting a portrait painting workshop.
Louise Gillis is teaching the workshop. Louise is a classically trained painter of all mediums with over twenty-five years of experience. Her knowledge of impressionistic color theory sets the stage for portraiture. Her art has been featured in North Light Books “Best of Flower Painting” and has also been published in Minnesota Monthly, Human Rights Campaign, Minnesota Watercolor Society, Minnesota Horticulture Magazine, and different book covers. She makes her home in the Twin Cities.
“I take great pride in the craftsmanship of my work and believe that all great art is a reflection of the individual’s interpretation of the beauty of nature.”
