This is the final version of a commission I did of Alvin Hanson’s Farm near Appleton, Minnesota. I did the painting for my friend Margaret Oibrekken, Alvin’s daughter. I did the painting from four photographs. The painting shows the farm as it was when the barn was still standing.

Although I took the photograph with my new camera and I adjusted the white balance, the color is not quite blue enough. The grass is not quite so yellow in the painting.

The painting is oil on canvas, 10 by 20 inches.
